Background in financial accounting as well as engineering helps me understand aligning top-down shareholder interests, and bottom-up operational capabilities with the middle management that may struggle to see the big picture across all levels. I've seen a few well-oiled tech organizations or departments, and a lot more of others, tangled in complicated processes, frustration, toxic micromanagement & burnouts. Identifying the symptoms early is the starting point.
